The spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, Two Point Hospital, has seen rave reviews from critics since its release on 30 August 2018 and has a “very positive” user review rating on Steam. Developer Two Point Studios and SEGA were supposed to get the Two Point Hospital console edition out on PS4, Xbox One and Switch before the end of the year, but it seems plans have changed.
In a new post on the Two Point Studios blog, the developer and SEGA has revealed that the Two Point Hospital console edition will now release “in the first half of 2020” as the game needs to be optimized better for consoles and it is pretty tough to make a management game for three consoles all at once.
The developer explains that:
The Two Point Hospital console edition is in development by Two Point Studios with the help of developer Red Kite Games and at the time of writing, the developer hasn’t shared a more specific release date. However, they did note that they will keep fans updated on the progress and they want to give the players the very best experience at launch.
