The Witcher Netflix series will release on 20 December 2019 and after watching the first official full trailer where Henry Cavill nails the voice of Geralt of Rivia so perfectly, the show should be on the must-watch list of most gamers and fans of the books out there. While there is still roughly six weeks left before Season 1 releases for us to binge, the showrunner is already planning several more seasons.
The Witcher Netflix showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, spoke to SFX Magazine for the latest issue (via GamesRadar) and it looks like she is planning ahead, not only for a second season but for seven seasons. When asked about her plans, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich replied with the following:
Don’t expect all the characters you meet in The Witcher Netflix season 1 to make it out alive either, as Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said that: “I can’t promise you that they’re all very much alive.”
The Witcher Netflix Season 1 is set to release on 20 December 2019 and hopefully, we will see multiple seasons in the future.
