The tournament is hosted by, you guessed it, the Beyond the Summit studio and takes place in Los Angeles. Eight teams will face off against each other for their share of the $300,000 prize pool and those all-important Dota Pro Circuit points (660 in total). The teams you will be watching are:

  • jfshfh178
  • HellRaisers
  • NiP
  • Ad Finem
  • Invictus Gaming
  • Geek Fam
  • Chaos Esports
  • paiN Gaming

Note that the strangely-named team at the top, “jfshfh178” is a replacement for Virtus.Pro who can’t make it to the tournament. Also, Chaos EC recently announced their new roster, which is the Quincy Crew. Due to Chaos EC’s changes to their roster, they will have a penalty to Dota Pro Circuit points won at this event.

Tournament Format:

Beyond the Summit has opted for a GSL-style group stage format and the top two teams from each group will be placed in a double-elimination playoffs bracket, with the bottom two teams being eliminated. All matches in the playoffs will be BO3 with the exception of the Grand Finals, which is a BO5 affair.

Start times and where to watch:

Each day, starting today on 7 November until 10 November, the tournament will commence at 19:00 SAST. On 10 November, the loser’s finals and well as the grand finals will be played. The first round of the group stage will see NiP face off against 178 and Invictus Gaming against paiN Gaming.

Both these matches will take place at the same time and then at 22:00 SAST, the first round of Group B matches are scheduled to start. As always, times might differ a bit depending on how long matches last.

You can catch all the action on Beyond the Summit channels. Check them out below.
