Gearbox Software has revealed the first footage and details of the upcoming, free content update Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest. This will be a Halloween-themed, limited-time event that will release sometime in the last two weeks of October. The game’s creative director Paul Sage spoke about Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest and revealed some details as well as footage, but first, there’s a new Shift Code for you to grab.
Before we get to the Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest details, check out the Shift Code below, which will give you some Golden Keys for a bunch of awesome loot in the game. If you don’t know what a Shift Code is, then check out our article here. Note that keys in that article have expired, but you can add the one below right now.
With that out of the way and Vault Hunters getting some more loot from it, let’s get to Borderlands 3 Bloody Harvest. The free, limited-time event (it will last about a month and a half) will be open to anyone who has left Pandora and gained access to Sanctuary III for the first time. Maurice will be in Sanctuary III as the guide to seasonal events.
There will be a new map for the event, called Heck. Players will need to kill haunted enemies (and their ghosts) in order to gain access to Heck. There will be new skins, enemies, environments and a new boss (Captain Haunt) for you to face, new missions, as well as awesome new legendaries. Check out one of these below.
Players will also have to deal with a new debuff from these haunted enemies, which will obstruct their vision a bit in a strange mist. This mist will lower gun handling, bullet spread and accuracy. Furthermore, there will be new Anointed weapons that turn this haunted debuff into a positive.
Gearbox Software also touched on the next free content update for Borderlands 3, explaining that new bosses, loot and more are coming with their new take on Raids. That’s a whole lot of things to look forward to, all for free to all players.
