On 8 March, Captain Marvel hits cinemas and on 26 April, we will finally see the conclusion of the MCU phase 3 with Avengers: Endgame. It doesn’t take a Kree scientist to figure out that Carol Danvers will play an important role in the Avengers: Endgame story, but it is always nice to have some confirmation. Now, a new Avengers: Endgame story synopsis has specifically mentioned Captain Marvel as the Avengers call on her services in the fight against Thanos.
The Avengers: Endgame story synopsis comes from cinema chain Vue and I, for one, am more amped than ever for the upcoming film. Marvel has done a great job so far with the trailers for Avengers: Endgame, not showing Captain Marvel. However, the latest trailer did hide something, as if someone was edited out and all bets are on Captain Marvel as the character Marvel purposefully didn’t want to showcase. Brie Larson as Captain Marvel is specifically mentioned in the synopsis you can read below.
Things on earth are looking dismal. After the power of the infinity stones decimated half of the population, Thanos (Josh Brolin) has taken up the mantle as ruler of the universe, leaving the Avengers in ruin.
The demi-god will only expand upon his tyrannical rule – unless someone manages to stop him. So, with no time to mourn their losses, Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) must remain resilient and rally the remaining members of earth’s mightiest heroes – and call on the services of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
Together, they must to figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies and defeat the Mad Titan, or suffer a hopeless existence…
Sure, we’ve seen Nick Fury use his pager at the end of Infinity War and most fans of Marvel would know who he was calling. Even so, this is the first time to my knowledge that Captain Marvel has specifically and officially been mentioned in the Avengers: Endgame story. Most of all, it sounds like Captain Marvel will play a massive role in the Avengers: Endgame story. Let’s face it, if there is one hero in the MCU that could be powerful enough to wield the Infinity Gauntlet or possibly even face Thanos in a one-on-one battle, it is Captain Marvel.
How big of a role do you think Captain Marvel will play in Avengers: Endgame? Let us know in the comment section below
